Special meeting to address complaints

The city of Quincy will have a special meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, to address written complaints submitted to the city against Quincy Commissioner Daniel McMillan. The complaints allege he made racist remarks following a basketball game Friday, Jan. 11, at Robert F. Munroe Day School. McMillan has denied the allegations.

The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office seeks information from the community to help find a missing man.
Joseph Johnson, 54, was last seen Dec. 28 in the Sawdust community in Quincy. Johnson is approximately 5' 6” tall, 120 pounds, has short graying hair and was last seen wearing a green puffy jacket, blue jeans and red sneakers.
