    Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Steward Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, 85 Woodward Road in Quincy, with burial at Mt. Hosea Cemetery in Quincy. Viewing will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019, at Reed and Hall Mortuary.

  • Barbara Bietenholz

    Barbara Ehart Bietenholz, 96, of Quincy, passed away May 26, 2019.
    She was the daughter of Adolf and Lilly Blumer Ehart of Switzerland and was born June 3, 1922.
    A native of Kilchberg, Switzerland, she and her family moved to Quincy in 1955, and she became a naturalized citizen in 1961. She and her husband, Ernst Bietenholz, worked together as a team for the Southern Division of American Sumatra Tobacco Corp. and Imperial Nurseries, a division of Culbro Corp.

  • Dr. Gloria Ramos

    Dr. Gloria Camacho Ramos departed this life peacefully May 16, 2019, surrounded by her immediate family.
    While Gloria was a longtime resident of Tallahassee, she dedicated much of her life caring for the people of Quincy, Madison, Chattahoochee and Marianna as the proprietor of the Gadsden Family Clinic and as the emergency room physician for many rural hospitals.
    Gloria was born in Lucena City, Philippines, and she was a graduate of the Manila Central University, University of Santo Thomas and Far Eastern University’s School of Medicine.

    James E. Rumph Sr., 70, of Gretna, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, in Quincy.
    Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Tabernacle Church of Christ in Gretna, with interment in the St. James Cemetery in Sycamore. Viewing will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday, May 24 at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy.
    He is survived by his daughters, Desmona Hale, Omedra Rumph and Brittany Rumph, all of Quincy; his sons, Gustavo Rumph and James Rumph Jr., both of Gretna; 26 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

    Viola Bell, 93, of Quincy, departed this life Saturday, May 11, 2019, in Quincy.
    She leaves to cherish her precious memories her two granddaughters, Gwendolyn Davidson of Summerville, N.J., and Tildred Davidson of Summerville, N.J.; one grandson, Robert Scott Davidson (Jennifer) of Summerville, N.J.; and three great-grandchildren.
