• Audrey W. Graier

    Audrey W. Graier, 81, of Brandon, died on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Brandon Regional. A native of Hillsborough, she was a member of St. Johns Progressive M. B. Church in Tampa, Fl. Services were January 28, 2012 at Bear Creek Bethel Church with the Re. Richard Hardon officiating. She was interred at the Bear Creek Bethel Cemetery in Quincy, Florida. Betsey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

  • Mother Laura Daniels

    Mother Laura Daniels, 81, of Rochester, NY, went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2012.  Mother Laura Daniels was born in Birmingham, AL on April 25, 1930. 

    When she was very young, her family relocated to Florida. In the pursuit of greater opportunities, she moved her family to Hilton, NY and later to Rochester where she remained until her demise. 

  • Raymond, Henry, Walke

    Raymond Henry Walke, PhD., USMC, USAR, USCGR, Retired, of Quincy, FL died on January 20, 2012.

    He is survived by his wife, Louise Davison Walke, of Quincy, FL. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Quincy. Burial is at Glendale Memorial Nature Preserve, DeFuniak Springs, FL.

  • George E. Chambers

     George E. Chambers, 77, passed away on January 21, 2012. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012, at 11 am at New Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in Quincy. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

    He was a native of New Jersey and moved to Gadsden County after retiring from the U. S. Navy. He worked for several companies locally and was a charter member of New Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in Quincy. His special loves were his grandchildren, pets, and playing cards with friends.

  • Roger Lamar Clemons

    Roger Lamar Clemons, 38, passed away on January 14.  Funeral services were Saturday, January 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Pinebloom M.B. Church, with burial at Greensboro Community Cemetery.  Visitation was Friday, January 20 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home (850-627-1956). 

    Survivors include:  mother, Mary Ann Wilson; one son, Roger Lamar Clemons, Jr.; two daughters, Morshonda and Morshandra Clemons; and one granddaughter, Trakylea’ Hinson.

    Jerome Bryant, 59, of Quincy, Florida died on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in Quincy, Florida. Services were Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Shiloh P.B. Church. Burial was at St. Mark Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 1- 7 pm. Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    Survivors include: Son, Alejandro Bryant of Midway, Florida. Daughter, Christy Bryant of Sneads, Florida. One Brother, Bobby Dukes (Shell) of Quincy, Florida. Two sisters; Diane Gibson of Dallas, Texas and Shirley Hicks (Frank) of Tallahassee, Florida.

  • Agnes Woods Keys

    Agnes Woods Keys, 87, of Bristol, Pennsylvania, died on Saturday, December 24, 2011 in Bristol, PA.  Services were January 3, 2012 at Second Baptist Church Bristol, PA with burial at Bristol Cemetery.  Molden Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.  Mrs. Keys was born and reared in Quincy FL, the daughter of Burell and Lizzie Woods.  She was a former member of Antioch MB Church of Quincy, FL.

    Reverend Clarence Dozier, Jr., 74, of Sneads, FL, died on Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Sneads, FL. Services were held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00a.m. at Greater Bethel M.B. Church in Chattahoochee, FL.

    Nancy Jones Gee, 85, of Quincy Florida, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Quincy, Florida. Services were January 21, 2012 at New Bethel A.M.E. Church at 11:00 am. Burial was at the Campground Cemetery. Visitation was Friday, January 20, 2012 from 1-7 pm. Williams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Thomas Jr. Lawrence, 70, of Gretna, died on Sunday January 8, 2012 in Tallahassee.  Services were 1 PM Saturday, January 14, at Peace MB Church in Gretna, with burial in Greensboro Community Cemetery in Greensboro.  Bradwell Mortuary of Quincy was in charge of the arrangements.
