Coming together for revival in Big Bend
Big Bend District C.O.G.I.C. Department of Evangelism will host its annual revival, “It’s All About Souls,” at 7:30 pm nightly, April 30 thru May 3:

pray at St. James
St. James AME Church will open its doors at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2, to the entire community for the 62nd annual observance of the National Day of Prayer. The National Day of Prayer is the day for special prayer events at approximately 40,000 various locations throughout the nation. “Pray for America” is the theme of this year’s event.  Everyone is invited to pray for the nation at this crucial juncture.   The Rev. Lee E. Plummer is the pastor. The church is at 514 S. 11th St., Quincy.

Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church located at 703 4th St. will host the County Wide Usher Union at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, May 5.  The speaker will be Elder Marc Black.  The public is invited.  Dinner will be served immediately after service.

5715 Hardaway Highway, Chattahoochee, FL , phone: 840/856.5024,  or email www.deliverance4u@tds.net, has announced the Grand Opening of their youth facility, Youth Empowerment Zone (YEZ), at noon Saturday, May 11. The public is invited to the event, which will include prizes, give-a-ways, face-painting, and refreshments.  Due to limited parking space, there will be shuttle service provided from DTM to YEZ at 11:30 a.m.
The purpose of YEZ is to satisfy the great need for quality multi-purpose centers in which to hold youth activities during non-school hours.  The youth center is a social and recreational center intended primarily for use by children ages 11 to 18 years.  In some cases, children as young as 6 will use the center, but usually only if special programs are in place to accommodate them.
Holy Community plans yard sale, revival
Holy Community will sponsor a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4. On May 8 to 10, Holy Community Church will host a Pre-Mother’s Day Revival featuring various speakers. Holy Community Church will have Friday Night Live Services Friday, May 17, with guest speaker Dr. Ya’Quanda Payne-McCall. Family and Friends Day will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, May, 19, with guest speaker Pastor Patricia Hewitt. At 5 p.m. Sunday, May 26, Holy Community will host its annual Men Day Service featuring guest speaker Pastor Kenneth Johnson.
