Letters to the Editor: City could have saved money on glossy insert

-A A +A

On Aug. 9, I received my utility bill from the city of Quincy from June 25-July 22.
In that bill was the oft-mentioned Hurricane Michael Recovery Fee in the amount of $13.53. I can accept this fee and will continue to pay it as I know how devastating the hurricane was to our community.
What I cannot understand was the need for a full color and high gloss insert included with the bill that also had a picture of our city manager, Jack McLean Jr., with his explanation as to why we have not received FEMA funds for Hurricane Irma or Hurricane Michael.
