Days are numbered for street vendors in Quincy

-A A +A
By Alice Du Pont

The days are numbered for vendors who want to peddle their wares along the streets of Quincy. Commissioners voted Dec. 8 to discontinue issuing licenses after September 2010. City attorney Larry White has been crafting an ordinance for several months now that, when approved by commissioners, will eliminate peddlers from U.S. Highway 90 and Pat Thomas Parkway.

Commissioners said they are not trying to prevent  people from making a living but they want to improve the overall look of the city.
