Necessary repairs, attracting commercial development and safety concerns were key issues for Quincy City Commissioners at their July 24 meeting.
Deborah R. Belcher, of Roumelis Planning 7 Development, gave a review of the Federal Fair Housing Laws, those state and federal laws guarding against housing discrimination based on race, religion, nationality, gender, etc. (adopted in 1968). Most cases now involve issues with housing for the handicapped.
