    The U.S soccer team will be squaring off against Germany’s team at noon June 26. The game will determine which team will move on from Group G. Both teams currently have one win and one draw against the other teams in their group. 

    The United States beat Ghana and tied Portugal — while Germany beat Portugal and tied Ghana.

    The Bobcats of Robert F. Munroe will enter into the upcoming football season under the leadership of their recently acquired Head Coach Jimmy Harris. 

    Although this is his first year as the school’s head football coach, Harris is no stranger to the Bobcat Nation; he lined up along the team’s offensive and defensive lines in the 1970s.

    The Panthers didn’t have much time to reflect on their loss to FAMU High, as they took the field to play their second scrimmage against the Marauders of Maclay High School. 

  • Munroe falls to Aucilla

    After besting rival Aucilla Christian three times this season, the last for the District 1-2A championship, the Munroe Bobcats couldn’t make it four for four. 

    Their season came to an abrupt end in the regional playoffs as the visiting Warriors prevailed 4-1 Tuesday, May 6, at Bradford May Field. Aucilla limited Munroe to only two hits and took advantage of Bobcat errors to complete the upset.

    The Munroe softball team lost for the fourth time this season to Aucilla Christian Academy, but it was this loss that stung the most. The Warriors won the 2A Region 1 semifinal game 10- 0 and ended the Lady Cats’ season.

    Bobcats shut out Cedar Creek in regional opener

    After finishing the regular season with a record of 20-5 and the title of District 1-2A champions, the Munroe Bobcats began the FHSAA 2A regional baseball playoffs with a convincing 5-0 win over District 2 runner-up Cedar Creek Christian from Jacksonville. 

    The Bobcats dominated all phases of the game, holding the visitors to one hit while collecting 10 of their own and committing only a single error.
