On the evening of March 6, I received a 911 telephone alert from the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office, which was to inform the citizenry that a dangerous felon had escaped from custody and was on the loose.
Good stuff. Except...what good was this message?
The message was totally inadequate, since it didn't name or adequately describe the escapee. All we were told was that he was black, had tattoos on his arms and that was it. Nada!
We weren't given weight, height, color of eyes, type of haircut, etc.
