    The St Thomas MB Church Young Adult Choir will sponsor a church fellowship movie night at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, in the church fellowship hall at 198 Edwards Road, Fowlstown, Ga. Everyone is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.

  • Jaguars, Panthers finish tourney in style

    This season the East and West Gadsden boys basketball teams kicked off their seasons with a Boosters Tip-off classic, the other participating high schools included Thomasville High, North Florida Educational Institute (Jacksonville), Rickards High, Colquitt County High and Santa Fe High (Alachua).
    This past Saturday both East and West Gadsden concluded the Booster Tip-off Classic with big wins; West Gadsden faced off against Santa Fe and East Gadsden ended the night against North Florida Educational Institute.

  • Lady Cats claim 2A-District 1 Championship

    Both East and West Gadsden and Tallavana Christian bowed out of Volleyball 2014 with opening round losses in their respective district tournaments. Tallavana lost to FAMU in round one 25-16, 25-10, 25-13.

  • On alert for unlikely outbreak

    The Florida Department of Health Gadsden and the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office hosted county first responders and media members at the Sheriff’s office Monday morning to talk about the procedures for handling an Ebola outbreak if one were to affect Gadsden
    County.

  • Candidates in the spotlight at political forum

    Voters had the opportunity to hear a number of candidates explain the big ideas behind their slogans at a political forum.
    The Democratic Women’s Club, Gadsden Classroom Teachers Association and WQTN hosted the Aug. 14 event. Gadsden County educator Angela Sapp and Herald of Gadsden County Editor Byron Spires served as moderators for the event, reading out candidate-supplied biographical information to introduce each candidate; the candidates also had the opportunity to make a three-minute speech.
