    Ms. Emily Smart, 76, of Quincy, Florida, died on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in Quincy, Florida. Services were Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at St. John A.M.E Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial was at the St. John Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 1-7 p.m. Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

  • Shakeila Katrece Daniels Vickers and Vincent Tavarious Vickers

    Shakeila Katrece Daniels Vickers, 32, and Vincent Tavarious Vickers, 9, a mother and son, passed away tragically on Saturday, March 17, 2012 in Tallahassee. Shakeila was a devoted mother and wife, and Vincent was a student at Rudigers Elementary School and was a star basketball player. Shakeila and Vincent were funeralized on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Deliverance Temple Ministries and were buried in the Bonnie Hill Cemetery. They are survived by many friends and loved ones, including, husband/father, Vince D.

  • John Albert Moreau

    John Albert Moreau, age 63, passed away March 21, 2012, at his home in the Bettstown Community outside Quincy, Florida.

    Funeral services were Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Hopewell United Methodist Church, on Drane Smith Road where it intersects the Betts Community Road at 11:00 am.

  • Jermaine Dwight Booker

    Jermaine Dwight Booker, 20, of Havana passed away on Friday March 9, 2012 in Quincy, Florida.  He was funeralized on Saturday March 17, 2012 at New Jerusalem MB Church in Havana, Florida and interred in the St. Paul Cemetery in Gretna, Florida.  He was a student and was loved by all whom he encountered. 

  • Hal Alexander Davis, Jr

    Hal Alexander Davis, Jr.,56, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, at Big Bend Hospice House after a long struggle with cancer. Hal was born July 9, 1955 in Lawrence, Kansas to Hal Alexander Davis and Carolyn Black Davis. He grew up in Quincy and was a 1972 graduate of James A. Shanks High School. After graduation from the University of Florida, Hal spent most of his life in Gadsden and Liberty counties. He loved spending time in the woods and on the water.

  • Charlie Mae Taylor

    Charlie Mae Taylor, 79 of Bristol passed away on March 17, 2012.  She is survived by her five children, Theresa Briggs, (John) of Tallahassee.  Janet Sturek, (Rick) of Necedah, WI.   Jerry and the late Mary Matthews of Lynn Haven, Lynell Joiner (Kevin) of Bristol and Linda Land, (Larry) of Sneads, nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

    Jakyia Robinson, 7, of Quincy, Florida, died on Sunday, March 11, 2012, in Gainesville, Florida. Services are Saturday, March 24, 2012 at St. James A.M.E. Church at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Sunnyvale Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 23, 2012. Williams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Lula M. Farlin, 88, of Quincy, FL, died on Monday, March 12, 2012, in Tallahassee, Florida. Services were Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 12:00 pm at Quincy and Community Deliverance COGIC. Burial was at Sunnyvale cemetery. Visitation was Friday, March 16, 2012, 1-7 pm. Williams Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

    Rev. Virginia “Sister Jenny” Johnson Lemieux Shepard, 89, beloved pastor, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at her home. The service will be held Friday, March 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Assembly of God Church, Pine Grove/ Sycamore Community, 1882 Pine Grove Church Road, Quincy, FL. Interment will be at Bethel cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 15, 2012, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the church.
