    Claudia Robinson, 42, of Mobile, Ala., died Dec. 7, 2008 in Tallahassee.

    Services were held Dec. 20 at Sunnyvale Cemetery.

    She is survived by her son, Melvin Autry Jr. of Mobile, Ala., and daughter, Adrina Autry of Tallahassee.

    Henry Moore "H.M." Butler, 82, died Dec. 21 in Quincy at home afer a long illness.

    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Quincy, with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy. Viewing will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Independent Funeral Home.

    John William "Billy" Bedenbaugh, 67, died in Blountstown Dec. 12, 2008.

    He was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church and was a retired electrical contractor. A graveside service was he.d Dec. 16 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy.

  • Whitfield Jr., Louis

    Louis "Cat" Whitfield Jr., 58, of Quincy, died Dec. 13 at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare in Tallahassee.

    He was born Dec. 7, 1950 in Quincy to the late Charity Coleman and Louis Whitfield Sr. He attended the public schools of Gadsden County and college training for his vocation. He was a member of St. John AME Church and the owner of a private night club, where he touched many lives. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. John AME Church, with burial in the church cemetery in Quincy. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Madry Chapel.

  • Ferol, Jacklyn

    Jacklyn “Miss Jackie” Vera Ferol, 96, of Panama City, died Dec. 13, 2008.

    She had been a resident of Panama City for 15 years, moving there from Ebro. She was Baptist by faith and a talented seamstress. She was the owner and operator of the Corral Restaurant in Ebro. She was instrumental in the development of Highway 20 from Highway 79 to Highway 231 and also in the establishment of Ebro as a municipality. She also served on the Ebro City Council and helped to establish Ebro Baptist Church.

    Ernest McMillan, 66, of Chattahoochee, died Dec. 11, 2008 in Chattahoochee. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Chattahoochee, with burial following in the Rosedale Community Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy.

  • Moore, Willie

    Willie Augusta Moore, 69, of Mt. Pleasant, died Dec. 10 at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City.

    He was born Aug. 18, 1939 in Gadsden County to the late Nora Oliver and Perry Moore. He attended the public schools of Gadsden County, received Jesus Christ at an early age and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant.

    He married Rosetta McMillan in 1960 and they were blessed with a son. Later in life, he was joined in holy matrimony to the late Katie Lee Hover for 35 years and they helped to raise many nieces and nephews.
