Quincy-kid-turned-national-superstar Billy Dean performed with his longtime friend, pianist Marvin Goldstein, for a packed crowd at a Tallahassee amphitheater this past Friday night in an event organized to honor the sacrifices veterans have made for society.
Dean has released 11 studio albums, with three of them going gold. His last album to chart on Billboard was 2005’s “Let Them be Little.”
The basketball fans of Gadsden County always look forward to watching East and West Gadsden battle on the hardwood, and this past Saturday the latest installment of this rivalry was produced.
The first quarter of play was a back-and-forth tug-of-war in which three lead changes occurred. With less than a minute remaining in the opening period a lay-up by Keyron York gave East Gadsden a 12-8 advantage heading into the second quarter.
