New TCC site to open in March

The Tallahassee Community College Gadsden Center will be operational March 22, announced the school’s VP for Workforce Development Kimberly Moore at Gadsden County Development Council’s February meeting Tuesday morning.
Moore said a ribbon cutting for the school will be the day before, March 21. Moore also said the school will work collaboratively with Gadsden Technical Institute instead of trying to duplicate GTI’s programs.  
Many different initiatives from community organizations were announced at Tuesday’s meeting.

Lady Jags, Panthers win district championships

The East Gadsden Lady Jaguars and the West Gadsden Lady Panthers are in the driver’s seat  for the opening game of the next round of the state series starting this week.   East Gadsden won the 4A District 2 and West Gadsden won the 1A District 4  titles in dominating fashion. Both teams also used the home-court advantage by hosting districts in their own gyms.
