Coach Joe Striplin to fill vacancy as head football coach at East Gadsden

After orchestrating an historic 10-2 season at West Gadsden including a play-off appearance, Coach Joey Striplin has been chosen as the new head coach at East Gadsden. The vacancy  was a result of Coach Corey Fuller’s move to Godby High School in Tallahassee.
This past Monday marked the start of Striplin’s journey. Aside from the coaching change, it is also proposed that  East and West Gadsden will merge into one high school in the near future.

Buckwheat’s, a new place in town just opened.
I was close to ecstatic when I realized the second word, (in much smaller print), after “Buckwheat’s,” was “BBQ.”
One of my all-time favorite things to do in this lifetime was to get up early and meet my good friend Joe Faggione for a hearty breakfast of buckwheat pancakes.
Now I search far and wide and cannot find a restaurant that serves those delicious, dark buckwheats.
