Onner and Sharon Holloway, along with Catherine Sailor and James Pendleton, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Juiderra Bryant and Travis Sailor.

The wedding will be held March 6 in Havana, with a reception following.

After a honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple will make their home in Tallahassee.

“Mr. Willis, aren’t you going to ask us what we did on our weekend?” one of my dejected seventh graders asked me.

“I’m sorry, Michelle, why don’t you share with the class what you did over the weekend?” I replied, with a slight smile on my face.  After all, I couldn’t smile too enthusiastically.  If I did they might realize that I was about to have as much fun as they were.

I hope that you are having a relatively stress-free week readers.  I certainly hope so; you  deserve it with the trying times we are living in.

I’m afraid I might be like many of you and certainly have been having my share of anxious moments.  But, then, most all of us have lived long enough to have learned that life was not meant to be lived as a carefree one.

If you watch or read the news often enough you have probably found it to be a rather depressing experience with little or no good news thrown into the mix.

 The Gadsden County Public Library System will be presenting a series of adult computer training workshops through May 5.  Classes will run 5:45-7:45 p.m. at the McGill Library in Quincy, Havana Library and Cowen Library in Chattahoochee.  Topics to be covered include Computer Basics, Internet Explorer, E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Registration is limited to availability each night of class.  Arrive early to book your seat.  See the complete schedule below, or phone 627-7106 for more information.
