West Gadsden High School track teams eye regionals

The West Gadsden Panthers boy's and girls track teams placed 3rd overall at the Class 1A District 3 track meet at Maclay School in Tallahassee on April 14.
Marquis Foreman won 1st place in the high jump. Teron Fitzgerald won 1st place in the 300 hurdles.
Antwan Chaires won 1st place in the shot put.
These three, as well as Zachqur Beard (400), Dionte Jackson and Fitzgerald (110 hurdles), Keldrick Peoples (100 and  200), the 4x100, 4x400, and 4x800 relay teams have advanced to the regional meet held Thursday, April 21 at Maclay School.
For the girls, Justice Fluker qualifeid for the regional meet in the high jump. Jordan Gaines (8th grader) qualified in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Lashandra Johnson qualifed in the 100 hurdles.
Macy Ceasor qualified in the 300 hurdles. The girl's 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams also qualified for the regional meet.
The boy's team is coached by second year Head Coach Kenny Strong. The girl's are coached by first year Head Coach Shalonda Sokson.
