The time has finally caught up

It was good to see that as we changed back to Daylight Savings Time on March 13, the Gadsden County Courthouse clock is almost correct again.

Arriving in Quincy last summer, it was always nice to be able to glance up from anywhere near downtown and get the time from that giant clock. Sure, it was not the exact time, but close enough.

Then around October when the time changed and we fell back an hour, the clock stayed the same. Probably some sort of subtle message from county government. It was not a big deal. Courthouse clocks, like pre-digital dashboard clocks are notoriously inaccurate.

But it was inconvenient. Glancing up for time now meant you also had to  subtract an hour. So things are back on track. The big clock, though a little slow, is on the right hour again.
