Softball season opened to a cold, wet week with teams managing to get in a few innings. Munroe jumped out to a 2-0 record with wins over East Gadsden and Altha.

Munroe defeated East Gadsden in a cold drizzle on Wednesday night making up a rain out from the previous week.
Munroe scored 15 runs over four innings and won 15-0 over the visiting Jaguars. Freshman pitcher, Jeri Sloan, taking over after the Lady Cats had five years with current college player, Haleigh Corbally, got her first win of her varsity career.
