Ronald Wimer, 66, of Quincy, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Tallahassee. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Diane Wimer. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, EDT, Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 8121 Havana Highway, Havana, Florida.
A native of Pittsburgh, Mr. Wimer moved to Tallahassee from Hilliard in 1985 and in 2003, he and Mrs. Wimer moved to Quincy. He was retired after 27 years as a heavy equipment technician with Ring Power Corp.
Other survivors include four children, Lydie Baker of Freeport, PA, Wendy Schutzler of Tarentum, PA, Erik Wiles of Boswell, PA and Desiree Gorman of Tallahassee; one brother, Paul Wimer of Boston MA; and one sister, Patricia Schmidt of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, Dylan Gorman, Jeffrey Baker, Lindsey Baker, Katlyn Rittman, Lauren Rittman, Morgan Schutzler, Nora Schutzler, Levi Wimer, Caleb Wimer, Erika Wiles and Ethan Wimer. Mr. Wimer was preceded in death by a son, Ronald; and a daughter Michelle.
