The Robert F. Munroe Day School tennis team upended district foe John Paul II Catholic High School at The Golf Cub of Quincy last week. The team took three singles and both doubles matches to win by a 5-2 score.
In singles action, No. 1 player Hilary Flournoy, a freshman, won handily 6-1, 6-2 as did No. 2 Beth Summerford, 6-0, 6-0. The two girls then teamed up and dominated in doubles 8-2. Abigail Lewis lost 6-4,6-2 at the No. 3 slot but Cameron McMullen picked up the No. 4 spot, winning 6-2 in game one and 6-4 in game two.
