The Robert F. Munroe softball team won its regional quarterfinal contest against visiting Central High School of Milton by a 9-2 score on Tuesday night. The win marked the Lady Cats’ first playoff win since 1999.
Haleigh Corbally got the win from the mound with 13 strikeouts and no hits. Hitting for the Cats were Kristen Allen, Corbally and Courtney Mayo with two hits each, and Corbally tallied two RBIs. Allen stole two bases and scored two runs. Montana Manley hit a double in the third inning.
