As is our tradition, my family and I have built a Christmas light display for our friends and neighbors of all ages to enjoy. I am sure it will bring a smile to the face of anyone who visits.
With over 82,000 lights this year there is plenty to see. Of course we have added to the display again this year. The largest addition this year is a 7-foot star (made with 800 lights) on top of our house. Another addition is a Santa riding a horse. We already had one riding a motorcycle and several riding sleighs, so I thought it was appropriate for us to have one on horseback as well.
I challenge all the kids (of any age) to find all the reindeer. There are 20 of various types that can be spotted from the street. Can you find them all? There are more stocking caps than reindeer; can you find all of them? Have fun and enjoy!
The display is on timers and the entire display should be on at 6:30 p.m. each night and then goes off at 9:30 p.m. I encourage everyone to drive past the house in both directions in order to see everything. Past our yard in both directions there are great spots to turn your car around. We are at 500 Forest Dr. From King St. (Hwy 12) you can go north on 9th and turn right on Forest, or go north on Jackson and turn left. Either way you can see the display as soon as you turn onto Forest Drive.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
