Jamie Holcomb and Pat Jones combined for shutout pitching and the bats were alive in Sneads Sunday, as the Chattahoochee Red Birds slammed the Jackson County Jays 12-0.

Holcomb struck out seven and allowed only one hit in four innings of work while Jones hurled three innings of hitless ball with five strikeouts.

Chattahoochee got home runs from Ben Young and Holcomb, who wound up with three RBIs on the day.

Austin Riano, Demetric Miller, Parker Herd and Jones also had run-scoring hits.

The Red Birds lifted their record to 4-1 with the win. The team leads the Eastern Division of the Big Bend Baseball League of Florida, and will host the Liberty County Diamond Dawgs the Division's second place team this Sunday at 3 p.m. at Therrell Field.

Other scores from last week had the Diamond Dawgs defeating the Bay County Brewers 13-11 and the Gulf County Drive defeating the Calhoun County Horseman 17-3.

This week the Jackson County Jays play at the Drive and the Horsemen are at the Bay Brewers.
