Quincy police are looking for two men who robbed the night manager of Captain D's restaurant at gunpoint and took an undisclosed amount of money late Monday night.

According to Investigator Clarence Pearson of the Quincy Police Department, two men, dressed in black from head to toe, waited outside the restaurant. When the manager and two other employees walked outside at 10:45 p.m., one of the men pointed the gun at the manager and ordered him to give him the pouch containing the night deposit.

One of the men fired a shot at the employees as they attempted to get into the car to leave.

"The manager started to run north toward Quality Meats but fell in the parking lot. The two men were right behind him and when he fell they snatched the bag and ran west down the railroad tracks," Pearson said.

The two were tracked to Mainline Drive and Williams Street where the canine tracking animal lost the scent.

Pearson described the suspects as black men, both approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and of medium build. One of the men has facial hair. They both wore all black clothing, including black hoods.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the Quincy Police Department at 627-7111. There is a reward for information leading to the arrest of the men.
