WORKFORCE plus is offering the second Quincy Farms Resource Fair Jan. 21 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at their office, located at 1140 West Clark St. in Quincy.
The object of the resource fair is create an opportunity for local agencies and partners to gather to provide information about job placement and training assistance, information on health insurance coverage, career and financial counseling and resume writing and application completion assistance along with help in applying for public assistance and/or food stamps.
Your services may also be needed to fill in possible gaps.
WORKFORCE plus is anticipating the number in attendance will be greater in light of the number of layoffs expected to occur this month.
Additionally, there were a number of individuals who attended the first Quincy Farms Resource Fair that will likely be attending the upcoming fair as they were unable to file for unemployment as they were still working.

WORKFORCE plus is also hosting the 2009 Let's Make A Deal Job Fair, a professional exposition for the career-minded individuals of the Big Bend Area, Jan. 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Leon County Civic Center, located at 505 West Pensacola St. in Tallahassee. This year's event marks the sixth annual job fair.
The WORKFORCE plus staff is dedicated to making this year's fair a successful recruitment tool for the business community. There is no cost for this event.
Although the deadline has passed to sign up as a vendor, you can still complete a registration form (http://www.gadsdenfla.com/pdf/377011708025715.pdf) and fax it to 922-674 in case of cancellations.
Business consultants are also available to do specialized recruiting and assist with job orders for any employers who may not be able to attend the event.
