Premier Bank will celebrate its fifth anniversary in its Quincy branch at 702 Pat Thomas Parkway on Friday.

The Premier Bank Quincy branch closed the year on Dec. 31, 2008 with record assets and earnings growth. At year end, branch deposits totaled $47.7 million, which represented an 8 percent increase over the previous year.

On Feb. 19, the branch reached their goal of $50 million in deposits.

To celebrate the anniversary and show its appreciation to its clients, Premier Bank will provide a free hamburger lunch and prizes throughout the celebration event on Friday.

Guests are invited to bring three non-perishable canned food items to help fill the local Presbyterian church food bank. As a way of saying “thanks” Premier Bank will give a tailgating chair to the first 100 donators.

"Residents of Gadsden County appreciate community banking relationships and Premier Bank has proven to be a local bank able to nurture and grow these relationships. It is important for us to let our community know how much we appreciate their support; the anniversary celebration will give us a chance to do this in a way everyone can enjoy." said Bruce Rowan, city president and branch manager of Premier Bank, Quincy. “With this milestone, we are looking forward to expanding our deposit and loan capabilities as we continue to provide the same first class service that has helped us grow our bank over the years.”

“Premier Bank clients can expect continued growth in our product lines as we continue to offer cutting edge checking and savings account products such as our unique super interest checking account which pays a high interest rate for consumers, and high speed remote deposit scanners for our commercial customers,” said Lindsey Smith, assistant vice president and marketing director of Premier Bank. “As shown by our new website, we will also continue to improve our Internet services to provide our clients with the easiest, most convenient and secure banking experience that they can have.”

In addition to expanding their products and services, Premier Bank remains at the forefront of their community involvement. Through their work with the Big Bend Habitat for Humanity, HOPE Community, United Way of the Big Bend and their charity bumper sticker program, they have helped local community organizations by donating their time and with financial contributions.
