Church plans festival

The members of the Vision Ministry of Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church and the congregation invite the public to their inaugural Community Fun Day. The church’s theme for Gadsden County is “Building and Empowering through Community Involvement.” The festival will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 14. This event is part of the church’s family and friends celebration. The festival will be held on the grounds of Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church. Highlights include free food, games and more.

“What Happens When Women Say Yes to God” program will start at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 12, Calvary Ministries, 1915 Dale Street, Tallahassee. Guest speaker will be Evangelist Judy Mandrell, co-pastor of Life Changers COGIC. The event offers two nights of restoration, revival and empowerment focused on women but open to the whole family. 101 Conference

The Gadsden County Baptist Association is sponsoring a Family Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Sept. 14 at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, 1001 W. Washington St., Quincy. There is no cost to attend the conference.

The conference topics include (1) Concepts of a Christian Home, (2) Single Parents, (3) Christian Finances. The schedule will allow individuals to attend two of the three conferences. The purpose of the event is to bring valuable information which could help many families with day-to-day decisions and quality of life. The public is invited.

The Second Elizabeth MB Church congregation is planning a five-year celebration for Pastor John L. Gardner Sr. for his faithfulness and service. This momentous event will start at 3 p.m. Oct. 13 at the church.
