Nelson Malcolm Blountpassed away on May 8, 2012. The son of Ide Nelson and Lottie Lanier Blount was born on March 12, 1928, in Gadsden County. He assisted in developing and managing his family’s business: Blount subdivision, water company and Fish Camp along Blount Creek on Lake Talquin. He had also worked at Reichhold Chemical Co, U. S. Forest Service and Publix Corporation. His sense of adventure, enjoyment of nature, ingenuity, wit, down-to-earth charm, easy sense of welcome, and twinkle in his eye will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Frances Blount, son Mike Blount (Inger), granddaughter Olivea Blount; daughter Cindy Blount Domingo (Michael).
There will be a service of remembrance on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at 1:00 PM at Tallahassee Museum.
