The R. F. Munroe Bobcat baseball team had a successful week last week, defeating Franklin County, Maclay and district rival Aucilla.
Munroe started the winning week in East Point were the team bested the Franklin County Seahawks 9-3 on Tuesday.
Right-hander Tommy Murray got the win going the first five innings, allowing only four hits and fanning three. Parth Patel threw the last two frames.
Brock Hinson, who went 3-for-3 at the bat, had a key two-run, first-inning double. Hinson also plated a run with a second inning hit and doubled in another run in the Bobcat fifth. Sam Young also had two hits and an RBI for Munroe, and Kendal Weeks and Clay Kramm had run-scoring hits.
The Bobcats won an exciting 6-5 game over Maclay Thursday when Matt Sampson scored Hinson with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh.
Hinson led off the inning in the 5-5 game with a double, and moved to third on a Patel single before Sampson plated him with the winning run.
Kramm got the win in relief and also hit a fifth-inning home run. Patel ended the game with three hits, and Aaron Iglesias and Miller Joyner had two hits each.
Hinson threw a complete game Friday at rival Aucilla, allowing only four hits and striking out seven in an 8-1 win.
Patel drove in Munroe's first run with a first-inning single. Kramm then had a two-run third inning homer to highlight a three-run inning.
Hinson and Patel singled in runs in the fourth and Igasis and Josh McClendon had run scoring doubles in the fifth.
With the three wins, Munroe's record is 7-2. The Bobcats hosted FAMU Tuesday and will play at Thomasville Brookwood Thursday and at Sneads Friday.
