Robert F. Munroe Day School couldn't hold off the Aucilla bats Thursday and the Bobcats found themselves runner-ups in District 3-1A after a 12-8 loss.
Aucilla slapped 13 hits in the championship game and jumped out to a 9-0 lead.
Munroe made a game of it by scoring seven runs, cutting it to 9-7 in the top of the seventh before the Warriors got three runs to put the game away.
Matt Bishop and Marcus Roberts had three hits each for Aucilla and Casey Wheeler and Trent Roberts had two hits.
Parth Patel rapped three hits for the Bobcats and Brock Hinson, Sam Young, and Alex Gay had two hits each.
One of Hinson's hits was a home run.
Munroe reached the finals with a 13-3 mercy rule game over FAMU High Tuesday.
Cody Watson picked up his ninth win of the year with no losses pitching a three-hitter and fanning nine.
Munroe scored six runs in the second inning, three in the third and four in the fifth to end the game.
The Bobcats managed only five hits but took advantage of eight walks and three hit batsmen.
Patel rapped two of the hits and Gay and Clay Kramm had doubles that helped Munroe to runs.
The win was big as it gave the Bobcats a 20-game win season and allow them to advance in tournament play.
They met Eagles View in Jacksonville Tuesday night.
