Mother Laura Daniels, 81, of Rochester, NY, went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2012. Mother Laura Daniels was born in Birmingham, AL on April 25, 1930.
When she was very young, her family relocated to Florida. In the pursuit of greater opportunities, she moved her family to Hilton, NY and later to Rochester where she remained until her demise.
She was employed at Western Monroe Community Housing Project and was a Home Health Care Aide, serving at various healthcare facilities in NY. She was a faithful member of the Mount Olive MB Church of Kendall, NY. She was a member of the senior choir, the missionary society, pastor's aid board and a Mother of the church. She served in civic capacities as well and was a faithful member of the International Masons and Order of the Eastern Star, where she was an associate Matron of ADAH 198.
Mother Daniels was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Annie Lindsay and one brother, Lee Brown.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, six daughters, Lillian Henry of Quincy, Tommie Holley of Fayetteville, NC, Willie Thurman, Dorothy Baker and Gwendolyn Turner Daniels and one son, Thomas Turner Jr. all of Rochester NY; step daughters, Viola Daniels Baker and Mary Daniels of Quincy, FL; sister, Lunett Shaw (Willie Lee), sister-in-law, Ruby Brown of Quincy; god daughters, Delois Terry of Columbus, GA and Eunice Harper (Ben) of Greece, NY; two special daughters, Yvonne Webb and Karen Johnson at Kennedy Towers in Rochester, NY; 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends
