Mary Alice Ross Menton, 69, passed away on May 7, 2012.  Funeral Services were Saturday, May 12, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at St. Hebron AME Church with burial at the church cemetery.   Visitation was Friday at Ivey Funeral Home of Quincy (850-627-1956) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories a devoted husband, Washington Menton of 52 years; two daughters, Vera (Leon) Williams of Quincy, Florida and Cynthia (Wardell) Peterson of Tallahassee, Florida; one goddaughter, Taleia Spence, one son, Harold (Joyce) Menton of Dumfries, Virginia; two godsons, Edrick (Carolyn) Smith and Phillip Bouie, both of Quincy, Florida; five grandchildren, Veranda (Shannon) Peoples, Quinzia and Sunzia Menton, Akia Peterson, Leonardo Williams; four great-grandsons, Atwan and Cierra Menton, Jaidin Houston, and Jamiya Vickers; beloved friend, Ira Mae (Granny) Roberts of Quincy, Florida; a host of grandchildren, other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and sorrowing friends.
