Marvin Kenneth "Kenny" Scott, 21, of Quincy, FL, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 in Fairbanks, AK. He was an air traffic control operator with the 1st Battalion, 52nd Aviation Regiment, since 2009. Kenny was born in Quincy, FL August 3, 1990. He is a 2008 graduate of Sneads High School, where he was on the drum line for the "Small but Mighty" SHS band, under the direction of Ms. Nina Wiley. Kenny joined the Army during his senior year of high school and left for boot camp weeks after graduation. Anyone who knows him doesn't have to be told of his passion for music and his love for his girls. He is preceded in death by his adopted father, Bobby Kenneth Scott and his "Bubba" Clay Scott.
Memories of his love and life will forever linger with his fiance, Cristina O. Wilkinson, of Grand Ridge, FL; daughters, Taylor Lynn Scott, of Greensboro, FL and Annabelle Grace Scott, of Grand Ridge, FL; adopted mother, Betty Goodnight, of Bainbridge, GA; birth mother, Elizabeth Eubanks, of Quincy, FL; sister, Vena Mills, of Quincy, FL; brother, Kai Mills, of Quincy, FL; and a host of other family members and dear friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held 10am, Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Mt Pleasant Cemetery. No visitation before the funeral is planned. Please honor Kenny's love and passion for music by wearing your favorite band/music shirt to his funeral.
