Brown a 6-feet, 4-inch, 280-pound defensive lineman inked with national champion, the University of Florida, in a 10 a.m. ceremony.

Ray a 6-feet, 1-inch, 180-pound wide receiver, signed with Arkansas just two hours earlier.

Both players made All-State in their respective classes and both qualify academically.

Brown started for West Gadsden for the past four years and was among the top 30 prospects in the nation.

Ray was a two-year starter for East Gadsden and was one of the area's top receivers and kick runners.

"West Gadsden is extremely proud of Gary and what he has accomplished," Panther head coach Antonio Bradwell said. " We feel he'll have a great career at UF and continue to make us proud."

"We are excited about Lance signing with a major conference school," Jaguar coach Scott Anderson said. "He is fully qualified and has reached a level we hope more of our student athletes attain. What he has obtained on the field and in the classroom is a credit to him and our program."
