The game started out promising for the East Gadsden High School Jaguars, but Florida High’s Seminoles rallied and came back to take the game 22-13.
In the first half, the Jags’ freshman quarterback Treveze Robinson threw two first-half touchdowns and made several long pass plays that enabled him to end the half with 153 passing yards.
Florida High struggled during the first half, but rallied in the third quarter, recovering a miscued punt by EGHS. The Seminoles drove the ball into the end zone two plays later.
In the fourth quarter, the Seminoles sealed the deal when a punt snap went over Jags punter John Price’s head and out of the end zone. The ‘Noles brought the kickoff to EGHS’ 31-yard line and scored seven plays later.
The Jags face are on the road this Friday against Chiles. Game time is 7 p.m.
