Anna Mae Atkins Jackson, 73, of Chattahoochee, died Dec. 31 at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee.
Born Jan. 11, 19356 in Rock Bluff to the late Bertha Reed and David Daniel Adkins, she attended public school in Gadsden Count, and was employed, until retirement, at Florida State Hospital as a psychiatric aide.
She married U.S. Navy veteran Noah Jackson, and remained a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She was a member of New Zion MB Church, where funeral services will be held Saturday at noon, with burial in the Bonnie Hill Cemetery in Chattahoochee.
Visitation will be Friday at the church, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary E. Spears (Morgan), Valarie Daniels (Jimmy), Alice Edwards (Lewis) and Elder Gladys Madry (John), all of Chattahoochee; son, Clifford Jackson of Chattahoochee; stepdaughter, Dorothy Porter (Clarence) of Miami; stepson, Don Jackson of Chattahoochee.
Also, a daughter-in-law, Shelia Jackson of Tallahassee; sister, Janie Hall (Carl) of Bristol; brothers, Rev. James Atkins, Tony Atkins and Joseph Atkins, all of Chattahoochee, Roman Atkins of Sneads and David Atkins of Marianna.
Also, an aunt, Lola Mae Nealy of Blountstown; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
