Robert Blaine Register, 40, of Tallahassee, surrendered to Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office investigators Feb. 16 on charges that he stole more than $67,200 in sales tax he collected from customers at the Havana Subway restaurant he owns. Investigators say Register failed to send in the money to the state, pocketing it instead.

Register has been arrested on four felony charges related to failure to file sales tax returns and theft of state funds. Bail has been set at $5,000.
