East Gadsden went .500 last week, Munroe won one game in holiday-shortened season

East Gadsden 49

Wakulla 27

East Gadsden jumped quick and early as they led Wakulla 13-2 after one quarter. They extended that to 22-11 at the half. 

Dondria Harris and Deamrenique Davis combined for five three-pointers, blasting Wakulla in a Nov. 20 game. Harris finished with 14 points, and Clinesia Gurley added 10 points. Gurley finished with a double-double adding 13 rebounds to her total. 

Tamra Fitzgerald stepped up big with six steals and six assists. 


Lincoln 33

East Gadsden 32

In a contest that was close for four quarters, Lincoln outscored East Gadsden by two in the fourth quarter to win by one. 

Dondria Harris finished with 10 points. 

The Jaguars dropped to 2-1 on the season. 


Munroe 45

North Florida 

Christian 26

Kaitlyn Sirmons scored a career-high 18 points on the strength of three three-pointers and helped lead Munroe to a win over visiting North Florida Christian. The Lady Cats had a big second quarter, outscoring the Eagles 20-8. 

Anna Jones sank two threes, and Mollie Edwards pulled down 13 rebounds. Edwards also added five assists. 

The loss moved Munroe to 1-1 on the season.  

This week the Lady Cats play two district games, facing John Paul II and FAMU. They also play Liberty County to round out a three-game week.
