Have you got the best mom on the planet?  Has your mother sacrificed for you, loved and supported you, and now you want to find a special way to say thanks?

Here’s your chance.

The Gadsden County Times is holding a Mother of the Year contest, and is seeking entries. Tell us, in 25 words or less, what makes your mom so special. Contest entries will be accepted via e-mail (editor@gadcotimes.com), dropped off at our office at 15 S. Madison St. in Quincy, or by mail at 15 S. Madison St., Quincy, FL 32351. All entries must be submitted by 3 p.m. on April 28.

Nominations must include contact information for the nominee, including a daytime  and/or cell phone number.

The entries will be gathered and a winner will be drawn and notified April 29. The 2010 Mother of the Year must be available for an interview sometime between April 29 and May 3, and the article, along with photos, will appear in the May 6 edition of the Times, both in print and online at www.gadco-times.com.

In addition, all submitted entries will be published in print and online.

This year’s Mother of the Year will receive a framed copy of her special article, along with a deluxe facial package at Amy’s Hairstyling in Havana, which will feature microdermabrasion, micro current, LED light and an oxygen treatment, as well as a gift from Padgett’s Jewelers in Quincy.

Late entries will not be accepted, and entries exceeding the word limit will be disqualified. All nominated moms must live in Gadsden County.
