Gadsden incumbents fare well

Candidates who won in Gadsden County’s General Election won big. Shirley Knight, supervisor of elections, said things at the polls ran smoothly throughout the day with few lines.

“There were people in line at 7 p.m. in Gretna and Precinct 5 (Joe Ferolito Recreation Center), and the last ones to vote were finished by about 7:30,” she said.

Of the registered voters in the county, 16.14 percent cast their ballots either on Election Day, early voting or absentee.
