Five lost fumbles hurt the West Gadsden offensive effort in the Panthers’ 13-0 loss to Florida High in a spring football game in Tallahassee Friday night.

The Seminoles’ Jack Metz returned one of those fumbles for a touchdown. Florida High also scored points on 32- and 39-yard field goals by Chase Varnadore.

West Gadsden’s Shermonta Hollins appeared to have scored a touchdown in the third quarter but it was called back because of a penalty.

“We played well on defense,” West Gadsden coach Antonio Bradwell said. “We have much work to do on offense with all the new players we have handling the ball.”
