For music lovers, a little rain doesn’t mean a thing. That was evident Saturday, Sept. 8, when the inaugural Porchfest kicked off in Quincy’s Historic District. Umbrellas in hand and spirits high, the 200 or so attendees had the opportunity to visit eight venues and listened to 20 performers.
“This is great; we need to keep it up,” said MainStreet member Gay Steffen as she listened to Keith and Barefoot Rob’s vintage acoustic music on the front porch of the Sampson home.
