Faison, Ola Mae

Ola Mae “Shug” Jackson Faison, 65, of Gretna, died Dec. 5 at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

Born Feb. 2, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Udell Wilson and Amos Lee “Buddy” Jackson Sr. of Whigham, Ga.

She attended the public schools in Whigham, and was married to the late Jerry Faison Sr., and they were proud parents and grandparents. She was employed as a laborer i

n the crate factory industry, and was a member of Tabernacle Church of Christ Written in Heaven, where funeral services were held Dec. 13. Burial was in Springfield Cemetery in Gretna.

Survivors include her daughters, Dorthy Faison of Gretna and Rosa Faison (Tommy) Winbush of Quincy; sons, Jerry Faison (Deborah) Jr. and Terry Ray (Jeanette) Faison and Timothy Scott, both of Gretna and Daryle (Linda) Faison of Bainbridge, Ga.

Also, sisters, Lillie Lee Pittman of Quincy, and Vallie Ree Grace, Annie (William) Dubose, Alice Kelly and Catherine Whitaker of Gretna; brothers, Amos Lee (Katie) Jackson Jr., Raymond Jackson,and Eddie Charles Jackson, all of Gretna,Waymond (Twanna) Jackson of Tallahassee, Willie Ray (Jackie) Jackson of Havana and Willie Isaac (Wendy) Jackson of Harrisburg, Penn.

Also, 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and other family members and friends.
