Evangelist Dorothy Mae Clark-House

Evangelist Dorothy Mae Clark-House, a longtime resident of Quincy, Florida, age 80, died Friday July 6, 2012, at her home after a long illness. Dorothy was born in Quincy and attended Gadsden County Public Schools. She was a member of First Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church and served her church and community in many capacities i.e. The Tennell-McDonald Missionary Society; donations to charitable causes such as the Breast Cancer Foundation, American Heart Association, March of Dimes, Diabetes Foundation, HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaigns, Feed The Children and other community activities. She devoted her life to family, ministry, biblical studies and community outreach. She was predeceased by her husband, Montgomery House Sr., her parents, Deacon Arthur Clark and Gertrude Washington Hicks and her sister, Altamase McQuay.

Evangelist Clark-House is survived by her two daughters, Rutha M. House-Taliaferro of East Orange, NJ and Anita L. Wiggins of Quincy, FL; and one son, Montgomery House Jr., of Midway, FL; her granddaughters, Tricia R. House and Lakaysha House-Black, both of Quincy, Sheena Wiggins of Marianna, FL and Andrena Hudson of Tallahassee, FL; her grandsons, Montgomery House III and Daniel House, both of Atlanta, GA and Vertez D. House (Kenyatta) of Tallahassee, FL; eleven great-grandchildren, Chauntavia V. House, Zi'Kyah House, Vertez D. House III, Jayda House, Brittany Stokes, Shon Hill, Tamereah Hudson and Thaddrick Hudson, all of Tallahassee, De'Ambernique Betsey and Ka'Marria Betsey, both of Marianna and Soraya House of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by a host of relatives, colleagues and friends.

Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday July 21, 2012 at First Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church will Pastor Kevin Williams officiating, with burial at Sunnyvale Cemetery in Quincy. Bradwell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
