Greater Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church is celebrating a monumental and historical move from 866 Golden Street to our new location at 3434 North Monroe Street. With the sacrifice of a few men and women of faith, a church was organized, and named Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. In September 1939 the church was organized, built and established, and in November 1990 Reverend Dr. Craig P. Riley was installed as pastor. Under his pasturage, the church has grown tremendously. The reign of the Holy Spirit draws more and more individuals to Christ, which has allowed us to outgrow our present facility. Under his leadership and vision we’re now moving the Church from Membership to Ministry to our new location.  In celebration of the monumental move, our Celebration Gala Banquet themed: “We’ve Come This Far by Faith” Hebrews 11:1, will be held on Saturday, April 2, at 6pm. The dedication service will be held Sunday, April 3 at 10 a.m. We’re looking forward to worship and fellowship with our guests at our new location. In recognition of our youth we are hosting a fun day for the entire community on March 26 from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. Your ticket inside is a canned good item. There are plenty of activities planned for this exciting day. Please come out and join us as we celebrate this monumental and joyous occasion.
