The Quincy Walmart presented a check for $1,000 to the Gadsden Magnet School Junior Beta Club last week. Cynthia Hagins, Beta Club sponsor, accepted the check during a small ceremony at the Walmart in Quincy. The money will be used, she said, for community service and school activities. Hagins said that the GMS Beta Club consisted of fifth and six grade students who maintained a 3.5 GPA or better.
