International Boxing Federation Light Heavyweight Champion of the World and Quincy native Tavoris Cloud came home Oct. 30 to receive the key to the city and to be formally congratulated by city officials and the community. "Every time you get in the ring, the city of Quincy is standing in your corner," said Mayor Andy Gay before presenting the key. Gay, left, and commissioner Angela Sapp, right, congratulated Cloud on his latest victory and urged him to continue setting an example for Gadsden County students. Following the presentation, Cloud took photos with children and well-wishers and signed autographs. He earned the title after he beat Clinton Woods in a 12-round match that was televised around the world on ESPN2  Aug. 28. Cloud called the victory a "dream come true."
