The Robert F. Munroe Day School baseball team took a two-week break from the game before getting back into action April 4 in the Marianna Spring Classic.

The Bobcats’ first game after the break saw the team lose to Freeport 7-1. Brock Hinson had two hits for Munroe in that contest.

Munroe won its second game of the Classic, defeating Sneads 10-3 behind the four-hit pitching of Hinson. Hinson also fanned 10 batters in the contest and got offensive help from Parth Patel, who had four hits and Clay Kramm, who slapped two hits.

Munroe defeated Franklin County 10-6 in an April 6 game with Cody Watson getting the win in a 14 strike-out effort.

Aaron Iglesias had a 3-for-3 game with three RBIs and a double. Miller Joyner, Kramm and Sam Young added two hits each.

The Bobcats lost a game to Aucilla Thursday when Stephen Dollar hit a walk-off grand slam home run to give the Warriors an 8-6 win.

Munroe had a walk-off win of their own Saturday when a balk by the Sneads pitcher in the bottom of the seventh gave them a 10-9 victory.

Munroe trailed 9-8 in the bottom of the seventh when Alex Gay led off with a single. Cody Watson later singled in Gay.

Watson moved to third on a walk to Patel and a single by Young. Watson then scored on a balk, giving Munroe the win and Watson a pitching win.

The senior right-hander had pitched the top of the inning in relief. Watson is now 4-0.

Munroe's record is 15-4. The Bobcats played at John Paul II Tuesday night and will host Brookwood Thursday. They also host Wewahitchka Friday.
